For as long as I can remember, I’ve believed in the power of connection.
I have always been someone who enjoys making people laugh, sharing a story, and finding moments of lightness in everyday life. Those moments may seem small, but I’ve always believed they matter.
A simple laugh, a meaningful conversation, or a moment where someone feels seen can change the way we experience a day.
Then life took me on a journey I never expected.
I was diagnosed with MS.
Like many people facing a major life change, I had questions, uncertainty and moments where I wondered what the road ahead would look like.
A diagnosis can change how you see the future. It can bring challenges you never planned for and force you to navigate a new reality.
But I’ve learned that while we can’t always choose what happens to us, we can choose how we continue forward.
I also want to be honest… moving forward is not easy.
There are days when I feel angry about what MS has taken from me. I think about the parts of my life that have changed. The things I can no longer do in the same way, and the losses I never expected to experience.
MS has affected my life, business, relationships, mobility, and even something as simple as being able to sign my own name.
Those moments are hard.
And I believe it’s important to acknowledge them.
Because moving forward doesn’t mean pretending everything’s okay. It doesn’t mean ignoring what has been lost or forcing yourself to find a positive lesson in every difficult moment.
Sometimes moving forward means simply taking the next step… no matter how small.
It means allowing yourself to have hard days, asking for support (hard one for me – lol) and still choosing to continue.
It also means recognizing that progress isn’t always linear. Some days feel like progress, and others feel like setbacks. But when I look back and see that I’ve taken even a small step forward, I choose to honour that.
Because a small step is still movement.
And that matters.
For me, moving forward has meant learning to appreciate the moments that matter, finding gratitude in everyday experiences, and holding onto the things that make life meaningful.
It’s also meant continuing to laugh, staying connected to the people who bring me joy, and reminding myself there’s still more ahead.
Keep Moving Forward is more than a phrase. It represents a belief I carry with me, that even during difficult seasons, there can still be hope, purpose, connection, and moments of lightness.
I created this space to share my journey, reflections, and the lessons I continue to learn along the way. Not because I have all the answers, but because I know what it feels like to face uncertainty and wonder if you’re alone.
Moving forward doesn’t mean the journey is perfect.
It’s not.
There are still hard days. There are still moments of frustration, uncertainty, and things I wish were different.
But I choose to believe there’s still more life to experience, more memories to create, and more moments worth embracing.
That’s what continuing to move forward means to me.
